As times change the intended purpose we have for many things change as well. Such is the story with this website. When I first started Short Circuits I was self employed and the need for a website was marginally important. I know I spent many an hour working on a website that was presentable for business purposes. Now that I no longer have a need for it, I think it looks better than it ever did.
Short Circuits? How in the world did I come up with that as a business name. Well, the business was based in computers with a heavy influence from accounting needs. I was setting up small businesses with computers and accounting. I would evaluate their needs, build their computers, install a network, and then establish an appropriate accounting package customized to their business and needs. I have often felt during this process that rather than the electronic equipment we were dealing with, either myself, or my client, were experiencing "Short Circuits".
Having been spoiled with the availability of a website and the effort I put into learning HTML and various scripting, I decided to keep the website and utilize it for current interests. On these pages you will find information about my new career and my family. If you like what you see, please be sure to visit the Diabetes page and contribute to our 2004 Walk for the Cure effort.
